Ocotober 16, 2010 - MIKE GOUDREAU BAND
A somewhat belated
follow up to say what a GREAT evening
of Blues the MIKE GOUDREAU
BAND gave us OCTOBER
16 at the first Dinner &
Show night of the season for BLUES
ON THE RIDEAU @ THE COVE INN, Westport.
This man – and his smooth, talented
band from Quebec’s Eastern Townships
- just keeps getting better. Mike’s
strong vocals & excellent guitar
supported by solid bass and vocals
from Gerry Goodsell,
tight drumming from Alain
Blanchet, great licks from
young Kavan Jalbert on sax and maestro keyboards from Sylvain Rancy played
the Blues in that boppin’, swingin’
style they have become so famous for.
They had the dance floor packed all
night and the audience demanding that
they keep playing long past regular
closing time. An added treat came
when the talented musical Innkeeper
twins Seamus & Jeff Cowan (drums and bass) got up on stage with
them for a couple of numbers. The
night was not quite sold out but almost
- a great start to the new BOTR @
The Cove season
